About
Seacroft
Sitting in the centre of this romantic Cornish fishing village, in a designated area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, this lovely old house, called Seacroft, has been renovated to a high standard very comfortably accommodating 8 people in four double/twin bedrooms and just a pebble's throw from the water and with three beaches just a 3-minute walk away - everything is here for a self-catering, family holiday, you really don't need the car.
With fabulous ocean views from almost every room, from the moment you arrive you can smell the ozone and see the waves. Tastefully decorated and well-furnished throughout with high-end bathroom and kitchen fittings, many returning guests tell us Seacroft is the best holiday home they have stayed in.
Seacroft is completely inclusive - quality linen and beds made up (of course), fluffy white towels, hairdryers in every bedroom and full central heating (not night storage) at the touch of a button. The house is laid out over three floors - two bedrooms on the ground floor, one twin and one zip and link double which can be made up as two singles. The bathroom here has bath with a separate shower and underfloor heating. There is a laundry room on this level too with washing machine and separate tumble dryer, iron and board and plenty of room for coats and boots.
Take the winding staircase up to the first floor where you will find a cloakroom and the double-width sitting room with two great sea-watching window seats. Here, there are plenty of cosy cream sofas to relax in, more than enough to seat all eight guests very comfortably. The separate and well-equipped kitchen is just around the corner and has all you may need - fridge/freezer, fully integrated, eye-level oven, electric induction hob, microwave, dishwasher and the dining table. The kitchen opens onto decked bridge up to the south-west facing garden and a sunny patio where you will find a further seating area and barbecue providing alfresco dining in comfort. There is also plenty of room to play or laze on the enclosed lawn.
Back inside, from outside the sitting room, a very steep, old staircase leads to two double bedrooms, divided as to one 5' double and another zip and link double which also can be made up as two full-size 3' beds. The bathroom here, with underfloor heating, has a bath with shower over.
In addition, we provide high-speed broadband internet connection, TV, DVD, board games and books which should give you plenty of choices on the occasional rainy day. With 100% luxury cotton bedlinen in super-comfortable beds with a choice of pillows.
DOGS: we do now accept dogs in Seacroft on the understanding that they are well-behaved, not allowed on furniture or beds and not left alone for any length of time. The charge is £20 per week or any part of a week.
WHAT'S NOT TO LOVE?
One of Seacroft's unique benefits has to be that spectacular view. It has a friendly atmosphere, as does the whole village, and you can imagine all the people who have lived there, going back hundreds of years.
The garden with barbecue and dining area is perfect for sunny days, some of which are in the winter!
Of course being in the centre of a pretty, Cornish fishing village (one can still buy freshly caught fish and crabs from the fishermen occasionally) with both the beaches, everyday shopping and the local hostelries within easy walking distance really makes it a dream house.
