This beautiful 18th century waterside cottage has been completely renovated to a very high standard. There are water views from every window and we have a pontoon and a private boat mooring. The house is fronted by an an old stone wall and this gives a lovely seating area to the front of the house, which catches a lot of sun and is great to watch the world go by. The main gardens are sloped behind the house and they lead to an amazing orchard, full of bluebells in spring, and great for picnics. The whole house backs onto the private woods of Mount Edgcumbe estate and there are plenty of places to walk dogs etc. The local village of Millbrook is a 20 minute walk along the river and lake or 6 minutes by car. It has everything for local needs, including pharmacy, 2 small supermarkets, hairdressers, beauty and a lovely organic shop and cafe with garden. The
beautiful villages of Kingsand & Cawsand are a short drive with very safe sandy cove beaches and some good food from pubs overlooking the water.

The house itself has slate flooring throughout downstairs. The kitchen has a large range cooker, big fridge and freezer, dishwasher and everything you need to cook, because we do! The views from all the windows are amazing.

There is a utility room with washing machine and separate dryer and a downstairs cloakroom. The sitting/dining room is large and features two separate fireplaces, one of which will have a log burning stove soon.... Again there are great views along the river. The vintage table sits 6/8 people and the sitting room end has a large sofa, a beautiful old velvet bergère chair and floor cushions. In the winter we supply wood from the forest for the fire. If you like quirky, then this is your house. Upstairs there are three bedrooms. One has a 6ft wide bed from which you can see the boats go by and the other two have Kingsize beds again with great views. All our linen is high quality and the mattresses are the comfiest you'll find. Pillows are all duck or goose down. There is a lovely white tiled shower room with toilet and basin, with blue/grey limestone on the floor. Watch the birds as you brush your teeth. In addition there is a large bathroom with tall vaulted ceiling. Polished plaster walls make this a grand place to soak and three windows overlook the back garden. This room can be used as an en-suite. It has a basin and bath only.
