Sea Haze is located in an ideal position for a family holiday as its only 400 metres from the beach and the South West coast path as well as being readily accessible for Looe and Polperro, the wonderful sands of Whitsand Bay and the many attractions of Plymouth. Downderry offers a good village shop and post-office, coffee shop, pub and excellent restaurant. The local beach is dog-friendly and nearby Seaton offers an amazing expanse of beach for dog-walkers and surfers as well as cafes and pubs.
Sea Haze is located at the end of a cul-de-sac so it is safe and quiet for children and dogs and the neighbours are very friendly and helpful. The front door is reached through the front garden down a short flight of steps from the road. The property enjoys a double garage with electric doors as well as on street parking. The attractive front garden is planted with heathers, camellias and a variety of small shrubs. It also offers a large storage cupboard for bikes etc as well as dustbin storage. There is a gate that opens on to steep stairs down the side of the house to the back garden. There is also a back door into the utility room which is handy for muddy boots and dogs!
The house is built into the side of the hill so the bedrooms are downstairs from the entrance hall. This makes it possible for every room to face the sea and for the whole house to enjoy the sunshine. WiFi is available throughout the house.
Off the spacious entrance hall is a large, well-equipped kitchen with a breakfast bar for informal eating and a balcony overlooking the sea with chairs and tables . The kitchen is equipped with a large toaster, electric kettle, coffee machine, microwave and food-processor. There is large cupboard off the kitchen which provides a substantial shelved larder and houses the large fridge and separate freezer. The utility room, just off the kitchen, houses the washing machine and tumble dryer, airing cupboard and boiler as well as providing a drying rack and hooks for outdoor clothes. The kitchen connects through a door to the sunny dining room with its dining table for 8 that can be extended to 12 as well as armchair loungers in a covered solarium from which to gaze at the sea view. Off the entrance hall, there is also a cloakroom with toilet and wash-basin..
Newly-carpeted stairs lead to a large lounge with seating for eight people with comfortable leather sofas, flat screen TV, DVD player blue-tooth CD player and coal effect gas fire. it has a Juliet balcony with French doors for enjoying the uninterrupted sea views.
Another short flight of stairs leads to three of the bedrooms. Bedroom 2 has a super-king bed which can also be configured as 2 single beds as well as a newly-refurbished, en-suite shower room. Bedroom 3 is fairly small and can be configured with 2 single beds or one super-king as bedroom 2. Bedroom 4 has a kingsize bed and a large built in wardrobe. It has its own, newly-installed, en-suite toilet and wash-basin. All the bedrooms enjoy sea views and complete privacy. Bedroom 4 is opposite the family bathroom which also has a newly-installed bath, shower, wash-basin and toilet.
On the same corridor there is a 'rumpus room' specially for children with beanbags, games, books and TV. Down another flight of stairs is the door into the garden as well as bedroom 4 with more stunning sea views. It has a kingsize bed, a large built in wardrobe and an ensuite shower room with toilet. All the bedrooms have new carpets for 2018.
The garden door leads down to a paved barbecue terrace furnished with wooden chairs and a table. The large and secluded terraced garden is planted in the Cornish style with palm trees and rhododendrons as well as a variety of local herbaceous plants. Benches on the shady terrace provide an uninterrupted view of both Rame Head to the East and Looe Island to the West with not a building in site! Sun lounges are also available in the storage room under the garden stairs to the right of the terrace. The garden drops down through a series of grassed terraces which offer further opportunities to enjoy the view over a glass of prosecco.
