About
Old Cellars
Old Cellars is in Armada Road, Cawsand, one of a row of Georgian cottages, 150 yards from the pub, shop and beach (foot ferry to Plymouth). At the back, a terraced garden on various levels (17 steps) with table/chairs, climbing up to a door to a tiny lane.
Inside, some ancient doors with lintels varying from 5'7" upwards, knobbly walls and flagstones, giving a clue to its origins. It is homely and unpretentious. From the lane, door to hall with parquet flooring; surprisingly large, depth-of-cottage living room with comfy sofa/chairs, old desk, TV/DVD, toys; kitchen (slim line dishwasher, microwave, fridge-freezer) with table/chairs in the middle and dresser; back lobby with washing machine, tumble drier, off which a shower-room (suite). From hall, half-turn steepish stairs up to three bedrooms - a double (5' bed) with floorboards/rugs, a twin, and a single with pull-out truckle bed and limited clothes-hanging space; bathroom (suite plus bath-shower). Public car park, 50 yards.
Dogs welcome.
