We are a husband and wife team from “Up North” who moved down here to Sunny Cornwall in October 2011 when we decided to buy and run Top Shop Chippy.
We pride ourselves on the quality of the food we serve and on the service we give and therefore always try to make sure that there is no mechanically reclaimed meat or hydrogenated fat in the food we serve. All or cod and haddock are caught in the deep Atlantic or Barents Sea. We do not sell fish caught in the North Sea or any other area where fish stocks are endangered or depleted.

***Due to the escalating costs of Cod and Haddock since October 2018 (40% increase) we have unfortunately had to increase our Cod and Haddock prices. We are however now offering Hake as an alternative which is slightly cheaper****
Although telephone orders are welcome, we have to give priority to the customers that are in the shop at the time, therefore, during our busy times which are between 5.30 pm and 7.30 pm, we are not always able to answer the phone. Friday evenings in particular are very busy from opening up to around 8 pm and it is becoming increasingly difficult to take phone orders. We will of course endeavour to answer where ever possible and thank you for your custom.
