About

Edgcumbe Arms

The Edgcumbe Arms is on the Rame Peninsula in the hamlet of Cremyll. We are on the banks of the River Tamar and have fabulous views accross to Drakes Island and Plymouth Sound.

The Cremyll passenger ferry leaves from outside the pub to Stonehouse in Plymouth, a ten-minute stroll from the famous Royal William Yard with its shops, bars and restaurants. A service to The Barbican, in Plymouth is also in operation during the summer months.

We are also a stone’s throw from Mount Edgcumbe Country Park with its historic house, formal gardens and acres of woodland walks. We are situated on the South West Coastal Path and the pretty villages of Kingsand and Cawsand are a 40 minute walk away.

Looe and Polperro can be reached by car in approx 30 minutes.

Whether you want a quick drink, relaxing meal or a cosy place to stay, you can be sure of a warm welcome.

A GREAT BASE TO DISCOVER CORNWALL

We have two cosy bars (one with a traditional log fire for the colder months) and an upstairs dining area that can be booked for private functions/weddings.

There is plenty of outside seating on the river’s edge for eating, drinking and watching the world go by.

We welcome muddy boots, walkers, children and dogs (dogs are very welcome in all areas of the inn apart from the Parlour and Tap room).

We hold a civil wedding licence for our upstairs dining area, named the Court Room, it can be hired for small weddings, baby naming ceremonies, family celebrations or meetings.

We are famous for our Carvery. Every Sunday lunchtime we offer a choice of three meats, roast potatoes, homemade Yorkshire puddings, cauliflower cheese, swede and carrot mash, red and green cabbage, honey roasted parsnips, stuffing and proper gravy.

Don't miss our specials board featuring fresh fish dishes and some of the chef's favourites. We use local produce wherever possible and all our meat, vegetables and shellfish are from Cornish suppliers

Our drinks range features locally sourced St Austell Ales, lagers and ciders.

All our meat is sourced in Cornwall and our vegetables are from local suppliers.

SOMETHING TO SUIT EVERY PALATE

Our full menu is served every day from 12pm and we serve breakfast, hot drinks and coffees from 10am daily.

On Sundays we serve our famous Carvery from midday until 8.30pm.

All our meat is locally sourced from Cornish suppliers as well as our delicious vegetables.

We also serve a carvery Mon to Sat lunchtimes from 12 - 2.30pm and Sat evening from

6pm - 8.30pm

Children are catered for with their own menu and we offer a child’s roast and baby bowl option from the carvery.

Our drinks range features locally sourced St Austell Ales: Tribute & Proper Job, Healeys Cornish Rattler Cider and Korev (our Cornish lager), in addition to a carefully selected wine list and soft drinks from Cornish Orchards of Duloe.

We hope to see you soon!
